September 18, 2026
U.S. Representative Nathaniel Moran (TX-01) traveled across East Texas this summer to see firsthand how the Working Families Tax Cuts are delivering real relief for families, workers, and small businesses in the First District. “The Working Families Tax Cuts are showing up in the paychecks and kitchen-table budgets of East Texas families," said Rep. Moran. "Since it was signed into law a little over a year ago, I've seen it firsthand. A small business owner is reinvesting in his team, a server is keeping more of what she earns, and a family has a little more breathing room at tax time. This law is about giving East Texans liberty over their own money and their own futures.” What East Texans Are Saying: Harrison County Sheriff BJ Fletcher has seen meaningful investments strengthen public safety and support law enforcement across the district. Manufacturing Tour — Longview: Moran toured AAON's newly expanded 250,000-square-foot Longview facility, consolidating coil production and unit manufacturing under one roof. AAON has grown into a $1.4 billion company since setting up operations in Longview in 1988 and stands as Gregg County's largest employer. Moran met with workers on the floor and discussed how the Working Families Tax Cuts restored 100% bonus depreciation and the permanent small business deduction to free up capital for new equipment, facilities, and jobs.
