What Is "Countdown to Freedom"?

I'm honored to announce Countdown to Freedom—a year-long multimedia initiative commemorating the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding. Beginning July 4, 2025, and concluding on July 4, 2026, this project will feature a live digital countdown clock, "On This Day" historical reflections, and a short-form video series on important events that defined the legacy of the American Revolution.

My hope is that you—constituents of the First District—will discover something new about America's birth and gain a deeper appreciation for the ideals and sacrifices that continue to define our nation.

Why It Matters

The Semiquincentennial marks 250 years of American liberty. By revisiting early struggles—Petitions, Battles, and Acts of Courage—we honor our founders and draw inspiration for our future.
