Project Name: Shelby County Interoperable Communications Infrastructure Equipment

Requested amount: $3,100,000

Intended recipient: Shelby County, Texas

Project description: This project will provide for new interoperable radio infrastructure in Shelby County, Texas which will connect to the TxWARN network. TxWARN currently serves over 260 public safety agencies including military, federal, state, and local authorities. Shelby County will work with local partners to place new 700-800 MHz interoperable radio transmitting equipment on existing towers in Shelby County.

Project Name: Gladewater High Hazard Dam

Requested Amount: $1,800,000

Address of Recipient: City of Gladewater, 519 E Broadway Ave, Gladewater TX, 75647

Project Description: The City of Gladewater has a dam that is in critical need of repair. If the dam were to break, the city would be flooded, and the local high school would incur serious damage. This project will repair the erosion, cracks, and seepage of the dam and restore it to a high quality. The project will also widen the dam so that it will be more sustainable for the future.

Project Name: Riverbend Water Resources District Water Transmission Lines

Requested Amount: $10,000,000

Intended recipient: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District

Project Description: Riverbend Water Resource District (RWRD) is currently developing a regional water treatment facility to provide wholesale treated water to 12 of its members in Bowie and Red River County. This project would include a new intake structure, raw water pump station, raw water transmission line, a new 30 million-gallons-per-day (MGD) water treatment plant, and a treated water transmission line. RWRD is requesting funds to help with the construction of the water transmission lines part of the overall project.

Project Name: Wright Patman Dam and Lake, TX Reallocation Study

Requested Amount: $500,000

Intended recipient: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District

Project Description: This request is to initiate a reallocation study under the authority of the Water Supply Act of 1958 (section 301 of P.L. 85-500) to determine the feasibility of reallocating flood storage to water supply to provide the Riverbend Water Resources District (RWRD) and the city of Texarkana, TX the ability to store its new water right, an additional 175,000 acre-feet of yield, that is currently being reviewed by the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality. The study will investigate the potential to create a constant conservation pool at or near elevation 229.5 feet.

Project Name: Taxiway-taxilane Construction Rehabilitation

Requested Amount: $11,000,000

Intended recipient: Texarkana Regional Airport

Project Description: The project would include widening and converting the runway into a taxiway and taxilane. The taxilane would allow access to a portion of the airport property that would allow for hangar development. The taxiway widening would be necessary to allow larger aircraft to safely turn off the runway and taxi to the respective taxilane or hangar. This project would improve the primary taxiway at Texarkana Regional Airport (TXK) to allow for larger/heavier aircraft to operate at the airport and support economic development of the local community and the region. Additionally, the runway and taxiway improvements would make it possible for TXK to attract air cargo activities and additional Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) businesses, bringing more economic development opportunities to the community and state.

Project Name: Marshal Relief Route

Requested Amount: $4,500,000

Intended recipient: Harrison County

Project Description: The project involves constructing a new roadway on the east side of Marshall, Texas connecting to Loop 390 at U.S. 80 and terminating at I-20. The roadway will be designed to meet interstate standards and is expected to be designated as I-369 in the future. This project entails the construction of a new location roadway along the east side of Marshall, Texas, strategically linking Loop 390 at U.S. 80 and extending to Interstate 20.
