Congressman Nathaniel Moran urges passing of cosponsored SAVE Act legislation

Congressman Nathaniel Moran recently urged the Senate to pass the SAVE Act, after the legislation he cosponsored and voted in favor of passed the House with a vote of 221-198.

The SAVE Act was originally sponsored by Representative Chip Roy and introduced as part of an effort to require individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote in federal elections. Moran took to social media on Tuesday, Aug. 27, to emphasize the importance of the legislation.

“I was proud to cosponsor and vote for [Chip Roy’s] SAVE Act in the House. Now, the Senate MUST act and PASS this critical legislation,” read Moran’s social media post. “The integrity of our elections depends on it.”
