Project Name: City of Kilgore Sanitary Sewer Improvements

Requested Amount: $960,000.00

Project Description: Construction of new facilities would replace aging pipes installed in the 1950s that are now allowing rainwater and groundwater to infiltrate the sewer system which increases the risk of sanitary sewer overflows and threatens to overwhelm the wastewater treatment plant.

Project Name: City of Kilgore Stormwater Improvements

Project Description: This project will repair failure of stormwater infrastructure in four areas of the city. First, a bridge structure was identified by TXDOT bridge inspection as requiring repair due to erosion. The second is a drainage channel that has eroded private property creating damage. The third is the upsize and reroute of a stormwater pipe that has failed in the downtown business area. The fourth is the collapse of a headwall in Turkey Creek which is now creating erosion that is undermining a local road.

Project Name: Tyler Air Traffic Control Tower Relocation

Project Description: The project will fund the construction of a new sponsor-owned Air Traffic Control Tower. The existing facility is 78 years old and does not meet current FAA requirements and is not ADA compliant. The new ATCT facility will correct line of sight safety issues and will replace critical operating equipment that has outlived its useful life such as radios, automated voice recorders and airport lighting controls. The project will transform the current siting, EA, and design work that has been funded by the FAA into a critical piece of infrastructure for the Tyler Airport and East Texas.
