Hello, this is Congressman Nathaniel Moran.
During this special time of year, I want to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas. Each year, this time we come together with our loved ones to celebrate the blessings that have been bestowed upon us and look ahead to what the next year holds.
As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior this Christmas, we remember the true meaning of the season, as stated in Matthew 1:21, which says:
"And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."
This verse reminds us of the profound blessing of Jesus, His coming into the world as a baby, and His ultimate sacrifice so that we might be saved by His grace and enjoy eternal life.
As we reflect on this greatest gift, we are also reminded of what truly matters: our faith, our families, our loved ones, and the freedoms that we hold dear.
Let us remain anchored in these wonderful gifts from our Lord and Savior and give thanks for the countless blessings He has bestowed upon us.
I also want to take a moment to recognize and thank those who cannot be with their families this Christmas: our first responders, our law enforcement, and military service members.
Their selfless sacrifice—spending time away from their loved ones to ensure our safety and security—does not go unnoticed. They are in our hearts and prayers this holiday season.
May God watch over them and bless them.
As we reflect on the year and look ahead to the next, know that it is a privilege to represent you in Washington, D.C. It is a great honor that I do not take lightly, and I am grateful for the faith the people of the First District of Texas have placed in me by allowing me to serve.
So, thank you.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, First District of Texas.
May God bless you and your loved ones this holiday season.
I'll see you in 2025.
