Dear Friends,
On Tuesday, Americans across our country went to the ballot box not only to elect a new president of the United States but also to choose a new Congress to represent them in Washington, D.C. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve what I believe is the best congressional district in the country: the First District of Texas. Growing up as a young kid in a single-wide mobile home in rural East Texas, it’s humbling and a true honor to now be a voice in Congress for the hard-working people of East Texas. We’ll keep working hard every day for you, just like East Texans do for their families and communities. Serving you is one of the greatest privileges of my life! So, thank you!
I’m thrilled by the results of Tuesday's election and extend my heartfelt congratulations to President Donald J. Trump on his historic victory. The results underscored the freedom and opportunity we have as Americans to choose leaders who will serve our interests at the local, state, and federal levels. Tuesday reaffirmed that there is hope for America. We are resilient, tough, and unwavering, and great things lie ahead in the 119th Congress if we remain strong and steadfast.
There is still much work to be done, and I’m committed to addressing the biggest concerns of you – the American people: increased security; prosperity; and liberty. This means securing our border, reducing spending and the debt, cutting the size and influence of the federal government, reducing taxes and extending the central provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, reducing regulations on businesses and unleashing the American energy sector, restoring the strength of America on the world stage, and making sure individuals and families can shape their own future—instead of government. President Trump will bring that strength and restore America’s greatness, and I look forward to keeping you updated on the progress toward achieving the results that you expect.

Each Member of Congress receives a limited number of tickets to share with constituents. Although we do not yet know that total number, only constituents of the First Congressional District of Texas are eligible to request these tickets from our office. If you live outside of the First District of Texas, you can request tickets through your Member of Congress. To confirm your representative, please visit www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative. For those in the First District of Texas, you can stay up to date on the most recent information we have about the inauguration through our website https://moran.house.gov/forms/inauguration/.
There is no guarantee that our office can accommodate all inauguration ticket requests. We anticipate a high volume of constituent requests and a limited number of available tickets. Please be aware of this if you are making flight or hotel reservations. We would advise you to make sure that such reservations are refundable.
Here are a few important details we have at this point that you should know below before submitting a request for tickets: - Tickets are limited and not guaranteed.
- All requests must be submitted by January 1, 2025.
- Tickets requested through this office are reserved exclusively for residents of the 1st District of Texas.
- Tickets must be picked up in Washington, D.C., prior to Inauguration Day; they cannot be mailed.
- You’ll need to provide identification to confirm residency in the 1st District.
We will likely have additional information about ticket distribution in early December, as more information is provided to us by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. If you have additional questions about the Inauguration, please call my office at (202) 225-3035.
To enter my ticket lottery, please complete the form provided above in its entirety. Thank you, and I look forward to sharing this historic day with you!
