RELEASE: Congressman Nathaniel Moran Announces Staff Appointments

Congressman Nathaniel Moran (TX-01) released the following statement this morning, in conjunction with announcing his staff for his Washington, D.C. office and his offices across the First Congressional District of Texas: “I am proud to announce my staff of public servants. These dedicated men and women possess years of experience and the skills needed to immediately begin working on behalf of East Texas, and I look forward to working with them to represent the conservative values we hold dear.” Josh Bradley - Chief of Staff. An East Texas native, Josh now brings Legislative and Executive Branch experience to the role of Chief of Staff. A graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler and former Bill Archer Fellow, Josh began his career interning for Congressman Louie Gohmert (TX-01) before serving in the offices of former-Congressman Pete Olson (TX-22) and former Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady (TX-08). He then spent two years focusing on border, trade, and economic security policy at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Josh served most recently as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for conservative Congressman Barry Moore (AL-02). He lives with his wife (also an ETX-native) in Northern Virginia. Tyler District Office Chelsea Cohen - Deputy Chief of Staff. As a Tyler native with over 9 years of experience on Capitol Hill, Chelsea’s expertise revolves around finance optimization, operational efficiency, and schedule management. Chelsea is a graduate of Boston University with a young family of two boys, husband, and two dogs. Jonna Fitzgerald Boersma - District Director.Jonna previously served as Congressman Louie Gohmert’s District Director for 18 years, where she was responsible for staff and operations of all Texas offices and acted as legislative liaison between the district and Washington, D.C. Prior to her federal service, Jonna was the Senior News Anchor with KETK in Tyler for several years. She is well known as a violinist of national renown who has shared the stage with some of country music’s superstars such as Charlie Daniels. Jonna was recognized as Instrumentalist of the Year by the Country Music Revue Association and was named Talent Winner and 2nd Runner Up to Miss America as Miss Texas 1985. A sixth generation native Texan, Jonna is a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas as well as the Daughters of the American Revolution. She continues to serve as a volunteer and board member for numerous nonprofit organizations in the state of Texas. Jalam Lewis - Senior Advisor. Jalam previously served on Judge Moran’s campaign for Congress, building meaningful relationships throughout the First District. He also had the opportunity to intern for Congressman Louie Gohmert (TX-01). After graduating from the University of Texas at Tyler with a B.S. in Political Science and History, Jalam worked at The Granary Health Foods and helped start and manage their location in south Tyler. Today, he serves on the Pastoral Staff at his home church, Tyler Metro, and serves as the State Chaplain for the Texas Young Republicans. Shea Thomas - Constituent Services Representative. Shea previously served as Constituent Services Representative for Congressman Louie Gohmert (TX-01) from 2018 through his retirement. Originally from Bossier City, Louisiana, Shea has called Tyler home since 1992. After graduating from the University of Texas at Tyler, Shea taught school for a several years before starting a job in the Financial Aid office at Tyler Junior College, where she would remain for almost 20 years before transitioning to congressional service. Chelsea Payne – District Office Coordinator. Chelsea comes from Grapevine, Texas where she previously worked for Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) for nearly 10 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University and most recently worked for the Institutional Advancement at Tyler Junior College under the direction of Vice President Mitch Andrews. Chelsea enjoys interacting with the community and is looking forward to assisting the First Congressional District of Texas. Texarkana District Office Robbin Bass - Deputy District Director. Prior to joining Congressman Moran’s office, Robbin served as the Director for Business Retention and Expansion for the Texarkana USA Regional Chamber of Commerce, focusing on business and economic development. Robbin also served as the District Director for Congressman John Ratcliffe (TX-04) from 2015 to 2020 and served as interim Chief of Staff during the 2020 transition phase. Marshall and Longview District Offices Shannon Crisp - Constituent Services Representative. Shannon has served the First District for the last ten years, previously working for Congressman Louie Gohmert (TX-01). Prior to her federal service, she worked in customer service at Marshall Pottery Inc. and ran a successful cafe in Marshall with her husband for eight years. She is native to northeast Louisiana, but has resided in Marshall, Texas, for the last twenty-five years. In that time, she graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Following her graduation, she taught kindergarten for four years. Washington, D.C. Office Delayne Hyatt - Legislative Director. Delayne previously served in the office of Congressman Kevin Brady for four years, most recently as Legislative Director. As Legislative Director, she advised on various policy issues including energy, agriculture, telecommunications, taxation, immigration, social security, and workforce. Delayne is a former Agricultural and Natural Resources Program (ANRP) intern for Congressman Randy Weber (TX-04) and a former intern in the Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies at The Heritage Foundation. Delayne was born and raised in Colleyville, Texas, and is a proud Texas A&M University alum. Emily Hall - Communications Director. A native of Galveston, Texas, Emily attended Texas Tech University where she interned for former-Congressman Sam Johnson through the university’s Government & Public Service Intern Program. Following her graduation from Texas Tech, Emily served as Press Secretary for Congressman French Hill (AR-02) and attended George Washington University where she earned her M.A. in Media and Strategic Communication. Cruz Perez - Legislative Correspondent. A native of Tyler, Texas, Cruz is a proud graduate of Tyler Junior College and Baylor University, where he received his B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Religion. Previously, Cruz served as Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant for Congresswoman Mayra Flores (TX-34) and as an intern for Congressman Randy Weber (TX-14). Luke Binsted – Press Assistant. After a communications internship in the private sector, Luke found his way to public service on Capitol Hill through a press internship with Congressman Alex Mooney (WV-02). Although Luke is a Virginia native, his extended family calls Tomball, Texas home. Nikki Bainum-Ramirez – Staff Assistant. Previously, Nikki interned for Congressman Carlos Gimenez (FL-28). Originally from Dana Point, California, Nikki graduated with her B.A. in Political Science from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. |
